Painted on a retaining wall for a newly renovated office building for Nest Realty of Harrisonburg, VA, this mural was a collaboration between the artist, Nest Realty, and Arts Council of the Valley of Harrisonburg.

The goal of this mural was straightforward: create a captivating piece of public art that highlights the positive attributes of Harrisonburg and the Shenandoah Valley. The themes that I landed on as an artist: the cohesion between rural and urban and the ease from traveling from one to the other.

Dealing with the poured concrete, brick texture was the main challenge. Apart from the texture, this mural was a pleasure to install. No ladders needed, and no lifts necessary; a rare priviledge.
